David Miller, President, CEO and Founder
David Miller is the founder and CEO of Mobile Discovery, a leading mobile and social media technology company enabling new types of interactive marketing. David is responsible for business development and strategic planning. David founded Mobile Discovery in 2007, having spent over ten years working in and researching the interactive, wireless data and broadband mediums.
David's views and opinions having been quoted and/or featured in leading publications including Advertising Age, Multichannel News, Mobile Marketer, Wireless Week, RCR Wireless, CIO Magazine, Mobile Insider as well as other business publications around the world. David is a frequent speaker and has spoken at events such as CTIA, Mobile Internet World, Billboard Mobile, Rutberg Quarterly and others.
Previous in his career, David served in Sprint's New Business Development and Innovation group. In this capacity, his role was to identify, assess and recommend innovative and disruptive technologies, applications and business models for Sprint trial, adoption and potential implementation.
In a prior role, David led wireless broadband strategic planning around services and applications for 3rd and 4th generation wireless broadband networks, helping develop the 4G business case that has now become Sprint's WiMAX (Xohm/Clearwire) effort. David also initiated Sprint's early research and development efforts around DVB-H and MediaFLO services. As a Senior Product Manager, David was instrumental in bringing Nextel's first wireless broadband product to market with the commercial launch of the Nextel Wireless Broadband service in Raleigh, NC (Flarion trial).
Prior to Sprint, David worked at Eizel Technologies where he conceived and implemented strategic partnerships and oversaw technology trials. Eizel was a Carnegie Mellon University start up, which was ultimately sold to Nokia. Earlier in his career, David worked in Price Waterhouse's Management Consulting Services group. David started his career with Arthur Andersen, where he worked in the commercial audit group and then the healthcare consulting practice. David holds multiple patents, was a Merit Scholar at Carnegie Mellon University, graduated with honors from Syracuse University and is a licensed CPA.
