Director of Marketing

Mobile Discovery, an innovator in the world of mobile marketing, seeks an outstanding Director of Marketing to manage marketing of a new cutting edge mobile advertising technology, lead corporate communications and public relations, conduct market research and monitor competitive activity. The position is a key member of the senior team.

Job Summary:

Responsible for planning, development and implementation of Mobile Discovery’s marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal. Oversees development and implementation of support materials and services in the area of marketing, communications and public relations.

Qualifications:

• B.A. or B.S. degree, advanced degree or MBA is a plus
• Minimum of 10 years experience in high tech marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success
• Self starter able to work without constant supervision
• Demonstrated ability to meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines consistently
• High energy, creativity, resourcefulness and entrepreneurial spirit
• Strong ability to convey technical information to non-technical customers
• Ability to do product demonstrations
• Review and edit existing promotional materials for marketing effectiveness, cross-selling implications and adherence to brand guidelines
• Coordinate communications projects with vendors and contractors for the development and production of educational event promotional materials, web site production and other collateral
• Provide writing and editing support for all outbound communication including all promotional materials, website content - Marketing and PR portions of the website
• Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations activities
• Early-stage company experience is desirable
• Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, making presentations and handling media
• Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications
• Strong oral and written communications skills
