Mobile Discovery Selected to Speak at Rutberg Quarterly
CEO, David Miller, to speak June 10th in Boston
June 3, 2008, Reston, VA - Mobile Discovery, an innovator in mobile marketing, today announced that its CEO, David Miller, has been invited to speak at Rutberg Quarterly's Boston conference on June 10th at the Boston Harbor Hotel.
Mr. Miller will participate in the event's first general session entitled "Reading the Tea Leaves: What Do Carrier Initiatives Tell Us about the Future of Wireless?" In this session Mr. Miller will explore how new carrier initiatives will help lay the groundwork for the industry's next generation of wireless business models in the US.
Wireless carriers are working on initiatives that promise to shape the future of the industry—from location-based service guidelines, to standards for code scanning, to open access. Mr. Miller will discuss the way in which these initiatives inter-relate, and what sort of implications they have for the industry. He will also touch on new opportunities for wireless carriers and their partners.
Mr. Miller's own innovative technology, Mobile Discovery's Code Management Platform, debuted in the Fall of 2007 when 2D code enabled ads appeared in Billboard and Wired magazines. The solution, designed for advertisers and publishers, extends the value of print media by enabling new media functionality. The platform, called CodeIntelligence™, links print, mobile and internet for convergence-enabled content delivery. The CodeIntelligence™ platform has been utilized for coordinated cross-channel marketing by industry leaders such as QVC, USA Today and Thomson Reuters. Most recently, Mobile Discovery debuted the nation's first 2D code mobile coupon/rebate solution in partnership with Inmar, the nations' leading processor of coupons and promotional transactions.
Tom Wheeler, Managing Director, Core Capital Partners and former President and CEO of CTIA and NCTA will moderate the panel. Mr. Miller will be joined by other leaders from the wireless industry including Mark Desautels, VP-Wireless Internet Development at CTIA, Tony Lewis, VP-Open Development Initiatives at Verizon Wireless and Isaias Sudit, Founder and CEO LOC-AID Technologies.
Rutberg Quarterly meetings are highly-focused, invitation-only forums that gather a diverse group of thought leaders to facilitate dialogue on issues of critical interest in the wireless and digital media industries. June's meeting, which is by invitation only, is Rutberg & Company's inaugural Boston event. The program is a greatly expanded, half-day version of the Rutberg Quarterly forums that occur in Palo Alto, California. Attendance is limited to 150 senior executive participants.
